Why the Taylor Swift Hate Needs to Stop – And What It Says About Our Society
This might upset some people, and honestly, I hope it does—because it’s time to have this conversation. I am not a Swiftie, but I am a father, a football fan, and a human being who believes in fairness and respect.
Why Is Everyone So Mad About Taylor Swift at Football Games?
Lately, there has been an overwhelming amount of negativity directed at Taylor Swift for simply attending NFL games and supporting her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Let’s be clear—she’s not causing disruptions, she’s not making the game about herself, and she’s certainly not doing anything wrong. She’s just existing happily.
And yet, people feel the need to criticize her for cheering, celebrating, and taking up space—as if her mere presence is offensive.
What Message Are We Sending to Our Kids?
Here’s something we should all think about: our children are watching.
👀 They see adults complain about a woman supporting the man she loves in a happy, healthy relationship.
👀 They see people tearing down a successful woman for absolutely no reason.
👀 They see society hating a woman just for existing in their line of sight.
What does that teach our children, especially our daughters? That women should stay quiet, avoid attention, and take up as little space as possible?
Taylor Swift’s Unmatched Achievements
Before you criticize her, ask yourself: what have you achieved compared to Taylor Swift?
🏆 324+ awards (including Grammys, Billboard Music Awards & more)
💰 $5 billion in consumer spending, boosting the U.S. economy
🎓 20+ university courses about her artistry, including at Harvard & Stanford
❤️ Millions donated to food banks in every city she performs in
⚖️ Took a stand against sexual assault, suing for just $1 to prove a point
And yet, despite all of this, people still find a reason to tear her down.
Do Better – Our Kids Are Watching
It’s time to fix this mindset.
✅ Teach boys to respect women.
✅ Teach girls that they are allowed to take up space.
✅ Recognize that your words matter, and they shape the next generation.
Hating Taylor Swift for simply being visible says far more about our society than it does about her. We need to do better.
