Doctor Issues Stern Warning For Anyone Kissing A Man With A Beard

People frequently express their passion by kissing, particularly when they are romantically involved. Additionally, it can result in a number of issues, and it seems that this is particularly true if you have a beard.

“Beard rash” is a condition that can result from kissing someone who has a full-on beard or stubble. That could be more of a hassle than anything else, but some experts are now issuing a health caution.

Most people don’t even think about the idea that getting caught up in the present can cause some major issues. Now, one physician is publicly warning patients about the potential for skin infections.

It goes without saying that kissing someone, beard or not, can result in a number of problems. Cold sores, illness, and other issues may result from it. Kissing a bearded man can lead to more specific problems.

Dr. Myro Figura issued the warning after he described in an Instagram video why kissing someone with a beard can cause problems. “Kissing someone with a beard can cause an infection?” he asked. It certainly can.

“If the beard isn’t clean, it can harbor a lot of bacteria like strep and staph, and kissing it can cause skin breaks that let bacteria in and lead to impetigo.”

According to the NHS website, impetigo is “a skin infection that’s very contagious but not usually serious.”

“Anyone can get it, but it’s more common in young children,” the website goes on. Impetigo usually improves in a few days with treatment.
