After being seen on tape nursing a hungry, wailing infant in a hospital, Argentinean police woman Celeste Jaqueline Ayala was going about her regular business. She is being praised as a hero.

When Officer Celeste Jaqueline Ayala heard the infant sobbing, she was on her regular duty as a guard at the Sor Maria Ludovica Children’s Hospital in Buenos Aires.

She went to investigate the source of the sobbing and discovered that a baby boy who had been arrested by the police was the cause of the screaming.

Ayala wanted to hold the infant after seeing that hospital workers were occupied with other patients. The cop persisted on treating the baby despite medical staff saying it was “dirty and smelly.”

“I asked to give him a hug and breastfeed him because I could tell he was hungry because he was putting his hand in his mouth,” Ayala added.

“Seeing him like this was a sad moment that broke my soul.” Bystander Marcos Heredia took a picture of the momentous occasion as Ayala was holding the infant,

Shared it on social media, and it went viral right away. Heredia commented, “I want to share this wonderful act of love you had with that baby today.”

According to the hospital’s professional personnel, you didn’t give a damn about the filth or the stench. You don’t see something like that every day.

After seeing the photo, Ayala’s security department claimed to have promoted her. She was the kind of “police we’re proud of” and “the police we want,” they said.
